GIS Mapping Services
GIS technology is an essential tool for planning and decision-making involving geographic data. Our GIS team compiles, processes, and integrates various datasets (e.g., geophysical data, GPS survey points, lidar data, CAD engineering plans, geologic maps, soils maps, current and historic aerial photographs, as well as modern and historic topographic maps) for each project we undertake. The derivatives of our geophysical data are then effectively displayed to best illustrate findings and support conclusions for reports and publications. Georeferenced imagery, for example, can be displayed beneath a data layer or draped on top for enhanced context. Similarly, end products can be exhibited from an oblique 3D viewpoint, presented as shaded relief, or shown in conventional plan-view format.
